Configuring a D-Link Router to Forward to VoIP

Serial number : DIR-600 and higher

  1. Make sure that the router and computer are plugged in properly.
  2. Open your Web browser, e.g.: « Internet Explorer », « Firefox » or « Safari ».
  3. In the address bar, enter : « 192.168.0.1 »
  4. A window will open, asking you to enter your user name and password. Enter « admin » in the « Username » field. Leave the « Password » field blank, then click « Log In ».

  5. A window will confirm that you have entered the D-Link router’s settings. You will see an image and several tabs.
  6. Under the « Advanced » section at the top of the page, you will see another section to the left called « Port Forwarding ».
  7. Check the box.
  8. Enter « VoIP » in the « Name » field.
  9. Enter « 8050 » in the « TCP » field and « 5060,5061 » in the « UDP » field.
  10. Enter « 192.168.0.10 » in the « IP Address » field.
  11. Select « Always » in the « Schedule » field.
  12. Click on « Save Settings » toward the upper middle of the page to finish.
