Configuring a Linksys router to redirect to VoIP

Serial number : All serial numbers

  1. Make sure that the router and computer are plugged in properly.
  2. Open your Web browser, e.g.: « Internet Explorer », « Firefox » « Chrome »or « Safari ».
  3. In the address bar, enter : « 192.168.0.1 »
  4. A window will open, asking for a username and password. Enter « admin » in both the « Username » and « Password » fields. Then click « OK ».

  5. A window will confirm that you have entered the Linksys router’s settings. You will see an image and several tabs.
  6. Click on « Applications & Gaming » at the top of the page, and in the « Port Range Forwarding » sub-menu.
  7. Enter « VoIP1 » in one of the « Application » boxes.
  8. Enter « 5060 » in the « Start » box, and « 5061 » in the « End » box.
  9. Select « UDP » in the « Protocol » box.
  10. Enter « 192.168.1.10 » in the « IP Address » box.
  11. Check the « Enabled » box.
  12. Repeat steps 7 to 12, but with a few changes to steps 8, 10 and 11.

    • In step 7, enter « VoIP2 » in one of the other « Application » boxes.
    • In step 8, enter « 8050 » in the « Start » and « End » fields.
    • In step 9, select « TCP » in the « Protocol » box.
  13. To finish, click on « Save Settings » at the bottom of the page.
