Troubleshooting and Problem-solving in Incredimail 2.0

If you are unable to send or receive emails or you get one of the following error messages with Incredimail 2.0: Failed to connect to the account name or outgoing mail server is not responding.

  1. Check that the Internet connection is working properly. If so, do the following.
  2. In the « Tools » tab, select « Accounts ».

  3. Select the problem account and click on « Properties ».

  4. In the « Servers » tab:

    1. Make sure that the « Incoming mail server » is : « pop.oricom.ca ».
    2. Make sure that the « Outgoing mail server » is : « smtp.oricom.ca ».
    3. Make sure the user name was entered correctly, including « @oricom.ca »).
    4. Check the password.
    5. Make sure that the « My server requires authentication » box is not checked.

  5. In the « Advanced » tab, under « Server Port Numbers » :

    1. Make sure that the « Outgoing server (SMTP) » is : « 25 ».
    2. Make sure that « This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) » box is not checked.
    3. Make sure that « Incoming server (POP3) » is : « 110 ».
    4. Make sure that « This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) » box is not checked.

  6. Click « OK ».
  7. If this has not fixed the problem, contact technical support.
