Configure port forwarding for telephony

Here are the steps to configure port forwarding for telephony:

  1. Connect your computer to the Wi-Fi network or on one of the « LAN » ports on your router.
  2. Open your web browser.
  3. Go to the configuration page of your router. The default address for most routers is: « http://192.168.0.1 ».
  4. In the menu, choose the « DHCP » option for the configuration.
  5. Create an IP address reservation for the telephony gateway.
  6. Click the button to save de changes.
  7. In the menu, choose the « port forwarding » (ou «virtual servers») option.
  8. Create a rule to open the "5060-5061" ports on the « UDP » protocol and associate this rule with the IP address of the telephony gateway.
  9. Create a rule to open the « 8050 » port on the « TCP » protocol and associate this rule with the IP address of the telephony gateway.
  10. Click the button to save de changes.
  11. Restart the router.
